I suppose what started it all--the earlier morning than expected, the lack of nap, the sleepiness during the movie--was that I forgot to turn my telephone ringer off before bed last night, and so was jolted out of sleep unprepared. Problem solved for tomorrow morning: I turned the ringer off for the movie (Tristan & Isolde, if you must know, and I feel that you must) and have not turned it back on, nor will I until I have spent a sufficient amount of time both sleeping and then shuffling about my apartment in my pajamas. It may even have to wait for afternoon. It will likely wait for afternoon, actually. The movie was sad and beautiful. I wish I hadn't been so tired; I'd have more to say and think about it. As it is, I'll say it was pretty and that everything was very tastefully done--not too obviously bloody or obviously sexy. I approve, but won't venture to give it a rating of any sort. 2006-01-15 - 1:16 a.m.
