I had a dream this morning in which John Mayer and Keith Urban were playing a set together for Jack's birthday party and I was in the first row. I know John Mayer showed up because I just downloaded TRY! on iTunes, and I'm guessing that Keith Urban showed up because Nicole and I were just discussing how we have no clue who he is except that there are photos of him and Nicole Kidman in US Weekly and People. Which would mean that I also have no clue what he sounds like either, but in my dream he just sounded like a guy singing weirdy kids' songs and wearing a funny hat (not that you can hear what it's like to wear a funny hat, but still). I can't remember what kind of hat, exactly, he got, but Johnny Mayer was wearing an engineer's hat. It looked nice.
Anyway, in my dream I was sitting in the front row, trying to take photos, but my camera wouldn't work. It just kept going in and out of focus, never capturing a shot of anything but the floor. And then Johnny Mayer and Keith Urban had to go catch their flights to wherever else they were expected besides Jack's birthday party, and I was left with no photos and an abiding grudge against my stupidy camera.
Next dream I'm using the AE-1, and I'm using film.
